Some of our 2nd Class students have benefited from the Time To Read Programme recently whereby volunteers from Gen Digital visit our school and read with 8 children. The children look forward to these weekly visits and have formed a fantastic relationship with the volunteers.
Their learning was taken outside of the classroom recently with a visit to Blanchardstown Library and a visit to Gen Digital Headquarters in Ballycoolin. Both outings were a huge success and the children were excited to see where their buddies worked, learn about online safety and experience the workplace setting first hand.
Gen Digital gave the children a wonderful day out, full of goodies and treats, and we would like to thank them for their ongoing support and relationship with our school. The 2nd class children have already decided that they want to work in Gen Digital when they grow up - perhaps because of their very well stocked treat cupboard 😃.
