Special Activity Afternoon for the Children of Second Class- Proposed for Friday 13th of August 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Dear Parents,

Due to the recent postponement of the First Holy Communion, we understand the children and families are very disappointed. As a School and Board of Management, we propose an afternoon of activities for the children in order to have a positive and fun focus for them. We propose the date of Friday 13th of August, the day of the ceremonies. If preferred, the activity event could be held in September as an alternative.

The proposed time is 11 a.m.- 2p.m. approx. It will be an outdoor event and dependent on the weather. We will offer a number of activities including sport and music. Sr. Mary has also  kindly offered to facilitate a mediation and reflection session for children of all faiths. We will have more details on proposed activities when numbers are confirmed. Lunch will be provided. We ask that children come in sports clothes suitable for sports games and outdoor activities. The event will go ahead subject to interest and good weather.

We have set up permission slips for you on Aladdin Connect. If you would like the event to take place on Friday 13th of August, and would like your child to participate, please accept the permission invitation via Aladdin Connect. If you do not wish  for your child to participate, please select decline. If you would prefer a date in September, please e-mail the school at philip.the.apostle.jns@gmail.com permission slip accordingly on Aladdin

We would greatly appreciate if you could respond by lunchtime tomorrow Wednesday 4th of August 1 p.m. in order for the school team to establish if there is enough interest to go ahead. We will be in touch thereafter with the outcome.

We invite all the children of Second Class of all faiths.

Many thanks for your continued support and engagement.

Kind regards,

Jane O’Connell
