Hi Everyone,
I hope that you are all well and enjoying this lovely May weather. This week I decided I would put on my wellies and take lots of photos from different places beside my house and share them with you.
First off- I went to check on our tadpoles to see how they are getting on. From the video and photos you can see that they are getting much bigger and plumper. The have grown stronger and you can really see that their tails have become thicker.
After checking on the tadpoles, I went on a walk to a place called Hollywood Lake that is beside my house and took some pictures of the different trees in the woods along the path and the beautiful bluebell flowers.
Then on my way home I captured a very magical rainbow. We learned about rainbows when we were learning all of our colours. To make a rainbow you need sunlight and rain at the same time.
Imagine there is a huge rainstorm and you are nice and dry in your house. As it is finishing you look outside and the sun is just starting to come out and the rain is ending. Durning this magical moment you see a rainbow.
Rainbows are one of natures beautiful gifts and there are so many different photos and pictures of them. A rainbow is an arc of colour in the sky that can be seen as the sun shines through the falling rain drops. The pattern of colours start with red on the outside and changes through orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo to violet on the inside.
Rainbows are actually round. On the ground, the bottom part is hidden, but in the sky, like from a flying aeroplane it can be seen as a circle.

In Irish legend- Leprechauns bury their pots of gold at the end of the rainbow. I wonder if you could find their gold if you could get to the bottom of the rainbow?
