Ms Deery’s Welly Wednesday Walk
Hello Everyone,
I hope that you are enjoying this beautiful weather.
This week thought I would take a walk over to the village that is beside my house. The village that I come from is called Tydavent and I thought I would take a few photos to share with you.
Tydvanet is a very small village and it is no where near as big as Blanchardstown. You can see from the photos that we only have some small buildings in the main part of the village.
Our school is called St. Philip's Junior School but the school that I went to when I was in Junior Infants is called St. Dympna's National School.
Our church is called St. Dympna's and it is very old- it dates back to the Bronze Age - 2000 BC.
There is a photo of the old water pump in the village. Can you believe it but people used to come from all over to get their water here!!! It is very different from just turning on the tap in your house to get water.
I hope that you enjoy the little photos of where I come from. I wonder if you can see how different a village like Tydavnet is compared to a big place like Blancardstown? We don't even have any traffic lights!!!hehehe
Have a great weekend everyone.
Lots of love,
Ms. Deery xox
