Mindfulness 7

Hello everyone,
- As we are now in summertime, take a moment when it is warm and sunny to sit outside in your garden.Use your senses to tune into your surroundings- what can you can see, smell, hear, feel? Maybe you can feel the heat of the sun, or a gentle breeze. Can you smell freshly cut grass or maybe a barbecue cooking? Take a few minutes to do some deep belly breaths wherever you are sitting.
- Be a scientist with your food: Take a piece of food, maybe fresh or dried fruit, and before you eat it, examine it like a scientist would! Observe how it looks - any patterns or shapes, different colours? Put it under your nose and take a deep inhale- what does it smell like? As you chew your food slowly, take notice of the texture, and how it tastes. As you enjoy your food, keep exploring with every bite.
- Grateful Gaze: Sit down in any room of your house, or maybe outside. When you are settled, take some deep breaths with your eyes closed softly. When you open your eyes, look around with a Grateful Gaze... Name everything that you can see that you are grateful for - it can be your family, your toys, your trampoline or anything that you are glad about having in your life!
