Next week we will be celebrating Friendship Week. It is a very important week in our School Calendar in St. Philip the Apostle JNS. It is a chance for the students to celebrate and appreciate their friendships but also have the opportunity to make new friends. This plays a very important role in creating a positive school environment for all our students.
This year there is an emphasis on kindness as the school was presented with the “Cineáltas Flag” from the Minister for Education, Norma Foley. The Cineáltas Flag is a symbol of our action to address bullying and promote kindness in our school.
There are many different activities for each of the classes throughout the week, all organised by our wonderful teachers and ANAs. The children will enjoy dancing to 'Music on the Yard', classroom games, Senior infants & 1st class are going to the playground, all classes will enjoy Pyjama Day & movies in classrooms.
To promote Friendship Day our theme is 'You've got a friend in me' and the art competition is based around this theme.
