Beathadán Éan le Ms. Martin
19th May 2020
Junior Infants are learning all about birds this week, so we decided that it would be an excellent idea to make a bird feeder (or beathadán éan in Irish). Why not follow along with Ms. Martin and see if you can make a bird feeder too? Ms. Martin is using materials and recyclables which you probably already have at home.
The video is as Gaeilge, so below we have listed four new Irish words (and pronunciations) from the video that you might practise and use at home when making your own bird feeder. Why not send us in some photographs of the bird feeders you make?
- Síolta (she ul ta) – seeds
- Úll (oo ll) – apple
- Éan (a nn) – bird
- Scian (sh cian) - knife
